- A diafonia é a interferência que um par provoca no par adjacente, este fenômeno é conhecido em telefonia como linha cruzada. A diafonia é medida transmitindo-se um sinal por um cabo e medindo o sinal induzido nos demais pares, em um cabo de quatro pares haverá seis possíveis combinações. O que é CROSSTALK?
Quando um sinal elétrico trafega num condutor, gera ao redor deste, um campo elétrico. Crosstalk ou diafonia é a medida da interferência elétrica gerada em um par pelo sinal que está trafegando num par adjacente dentro do mesmo cabo. A menor interferência acarreta um melhor desempenho do crosstalk ou diafonia (mais dBs de isolamento). A baixa interferência entre pares é crítica para a confiabilidade das aplicações das categorias 3, 4 e 5 para cabos UTP de 4 pares exigem uma avaliação do crosstalk, ou diafonia, com o método par a par (NEXT). As especificações da norma ANSI TIA/EIA 568A para cabos de 25 pares exigem uma avaliação do crosstalk através do método da somatória das potências (Power Sum). - ABUSAR.ORG by Carla Lopes
