- Transportpaletten, auch einfach Paletten genannt, sind flache Konstruktionen, die für den Transport bestimmter stapelbarer Waren verwendet werden. Die beladene Palette kann dann zum Beispiel mit einem Hubwagen verladen werden. Wikipedia - by Nicole Trebbin

- Europalette: Die meistbenutzte Palette in Europa. Die Norm "Europalette" stammt ursprünglich von der Bahn. Es ist eine stabile Holz-Mehrwegpalette mit 120 cm Länge, 80 cm Breite und 14,4 cm Höhe. Ein großer Vorteil der Norm Europalette ist die Tauschfähigkeit und der Einheitspreis. Dieser wird allerdings nicht mehr in allen Staaten und von allen Speditionen anerkannt - zu unterschiedlich ist die Qualität der gebrauchten Paletten. Eine Europalette kostet derzeit knapp 10 Euro. Je nach Qualität können Europaletten mit bis zu zwei Tonnen Gewicht beladen werden.
