- Per abilità numerica si intende la facilità di lavorare con numeri e cifre e di risolvere con rapidità ed esattezza semplici problemi quantitativi (Zamperlin, 1994). L’abilità numerica fa parte di una competenza più ampia, attualmente definita con l’espressione «pensare matematico» (Schoenfeld, 1992). Si fa riferimento ad una competenza che permette di interpretare i fenomeni da un punto di vista matematico, di attribuire valore e significatività ai processi di matematizzazione, di applicare con efficacia nozioni, regole e procedure di calcolo o di ragionamento matematico. - Sipap Emilia Romagna by Danila Moro
- La Prova di abilità numerica (di Zamperlin e Cacciò) fa riferimento alla definizione di tale abilità proposta da Thurstone e
Thurstone tl962; 1982]: «si tratta di un'attitudine, di una facilità a lavorare con i numeri, a risolvere rapidamente e con esattezza
semplici problemi quantitativi, a capire e riconoscere le differenze numeriche». E stata quindi costruita ispirandosi al subtest di
abilità numerica del test PMA (1963) e si articola in:
- completamento di serie numeriche;
- soluzione di problemi;
