- De facto, a linguagem escrita caracteriza-se por ser descontextualizada, pois, na
maior parte dos casos, o emissor e o receptor não se encontram fisicamente presentes,
transcendendo, deste modo, as noções de tempo e de espaço (Roskos et al., 2003).
Decorre daqui a necessidade de a mensagem escrita ser auto-suficiente, na medida
em que, na maior parte dos casos, o escritor não está presente para clarificar o conteúdo
ou fornecer informação adicional para uma melhor compreensão. Por conseguinte, é
exigida à criança a capacidade de usar a linguagem de uma forma descontextualizada:
assim, enquanto escritor, a criança deverá ser capaz de se colocar no papel do outro,
fornecendo toda a informação relevante para a posterior compreensão, e, enquanto
leitor, deverá ser capaz de inferir informação que não se encontra explícita no texto,
