I need your advice on securing interpretation jobs. With over 18 years of experience as an English/Russian-Azerbaijani interpreter and translator, I specialize in consecutive, whispered, and liaison interpretation (despite holding a degree in simultaneous interpretation, which I don't practice).
Since joining Proz.com in 2014, I've mainly been offered translation work, even though my focus is on interpretation. It seems the platform is more geared towards translation rather than interpretation, and I've struggled to find consecutive interpretation opportunities in Azerbaijan. The market here is tight, with jobs often distributed within a small network, making it hard for outsiders to break in. My time in the Czech Republic has also distanced me from local market dynamics, and as a freelancer, I find it challenging to navigate without strong local connections.
I aim to connect directly with potential clients. Any advice on how I might achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help! ▲ Collapse | | | Possible leads for interpretation | Aug 21, 2024 |

Marketing is a continuous effort- even if you are fully booked. You do not know when someone will drop off and you will need new clients. ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Consecutive interpretation jobs, EN/RUAZ Anycount & Translation Office 3000 | Translation Office 3000
