Hi Sameh!
Being too busy with work before the conference, I almost missed out on this thread. Your initiative for sightseeing on Friday is perfect. I will be staying at the conference hotel together with my wife, and we wanted to have a closer look at the sights on Friday (and of course going to the powwow in the evening).
Meeting point in the hotel lobby at 9 am on Friday morning is settled? I will send you my mobil number via mail, just to be sure.

Hi all,
I should also arrive around 3:00 pm at the conference hotel (landing at 2:00 at Fiumincino). I would also be interested any pre-powwow gathering/sight-seeing/drink. For those of you who were much more organized than I did so far, could you please give me a cell phone number where to reach you? Any info can be left here or directly sent to [email protected]

Hi all,
you can easily follow weather forecast at this link:

Even if it's in Italian, the icons are very easy to understand
Anyway, I don't think we will need heavy jackets... just a very elegant dinner-jacket for the gala dinner!

And for Attila, I'm arriving at 12.30 at Fiumicino. Are you staying at the conference hotel? In that case we can catch the Leonardo Express train together to go to Rome. It leaves at 13.07.
Looking forward to see you all!

Hi Stefano,
Yes, I do. Catching the Leonardo Express - or even sharing a taxi - sounds like a good idea. Shall we fix a meeting point at the airport?
Cheers,

Piazza del Pantheon at 3 pm?? | May 19, 2011 |
Hi all,
I like that suggestion by Stefano - meeting at Piazza del Pantheon. Will anybody of you guys be there? I have already did some sightseeing today and am quite tired of the heavy crowded excavations:) So, I would prefer a pre-powow drink in some nice cafe. Anyone wants to join?

Hi Attila,
where can we meet? I don't know very well Rome airport.
Somewhere near the exit gate. You should arrive something like 10 minutes before, so maybe you can wait for me there.
If you want, send me an email with your mobile nr.

in the afternoon I will try to reach the big group somewhere.

I don't know if they are going to follow my suggestion, but sure we will find a place for a nice drink!
Are you staying at the conference hotel?
I should be there around 2 p.m.
Just the time to drop the trolley and refresh, and I'll be ready.
I will check the messages on this forum till 8.30 tomorrow morning.
If you prefer, you can send me an email:

I will read it on my mobile.

Hi all!
I've just seen this...doh!
I'm already in Rome too, but not at the congress hotel. "Piazza del Panteón" doesn't appear on any of my maps but I presume it's next to the Pantheon, right? That's exactly what I want to visit anyway, so good choice!
My contact phone is on my Proz profile. It'll be great to see you all again. :.))
- Gary.
I think the official name of the Piazza is Piazza della Maddelena.
