English term

horriblizing

English to Spanish Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters general
When people think only about the very worst that could happen, I refer to this as "horriblizing".
Any suggestions?

I'm quite aware that we are not talking about dictionary words here. The point of my comment was that there was not a single hit for the verb forms of these words in connection with Albert Ellis. And there's a lot of Spanish material on Ellis. Thank you.

el pensamiento catastrofizante

You must be looking at a text of Albert Ellis!

See reference below for "pensamiento catastrofizante". I could find no references for "catastrofizar" or "horribilizar" in relation to Ellis.

Suerte.
