English term
applicable orientations
English
Bus/Financial
Human Resources
Safety policy
Construction Safety Association of Ontario (CSAO)
Dedicated to training and education for the construction industry or applicable orientations in other provinces.
Description of an association. I can't make sense of the last part of the sentence! What does it mean? Could someone reword or explain it for me, please? (Knowing that, as far as I understand from their website, CSAO operate only in Ontario)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

: probably what it means (introductory training sessions) -- lots of relevant hits for "applicable orientations" in an educational context

Hi Michel, it may mean as it applies to similar sectors in other provinces.

for-trainer introductions to construction safety
Because CSAO only operates in Ontario, I bet for a typo here:
Dedicated to training and education for the construction industry FOR applicable orientations in other provinces.
This way, CSAO conducts education+training in Ontario to be applied in other provinces by the participants.
IMO, "applicable orientations" means "orientations that can be applied the way the CSAO do". What does CSAO do? Train and educate. So, "orientations specially designed to be taught"
Now, about orientations, I partly agree w/ Alexander: they are introductions to aspects of safety in construction. *Introduction* makes sense here as it is to be delivered by the participants in their respective provinces. I mean, *advanced* level trainings is very hard to be designed as for-trainer trainings. Participants of advanced trainings cannot be expected to teach what they learn in their respective home provinces.
More popular synonim for "for-trainer training" is "train-the-trainer training"; I just love the first version better.

A simpler way of putting it (from what you say, it's the part of the sentence from "or" that is troubling you).
