German term

rundgebügelt

German to English Tech/Engineering Textiles / Clothing / Fashion

Bruchgebügelt seems to be "pressed along the crease" but am not so sure what rundgebügelt is.

Thanks!

flat-front

It just means there is no crease. More casual.

Sorry, Sarah. I blew this one. Penny's right - it's 'crease-free' or 'uncreased' trousers. Flat-front trousers are without pleats or darts.

neutral Cetacea : You're right, it does mean "no crease", but "flat-front" means no darts, as Penny explains.

Oops. You (and Penny) are right. You know, I actually knew that, but it got misfiled somehow in my brain. :-\ Time for a weekend.

creasefree ironing

[0003] Uncreased or crease-free trousers are conventionally ironed by blowing water steam and hot air inside said trousers, which are suitably stretched in order to be evenly ironed through the overall surface thereof.

ironed crease-free

Crease-free trousers have no front creases. Flat front simply means that they have no darts in the waistband but might still have front creases.

agree Cetacea : Exactly.

agree Lori Dendy-Molz : 'Uncreased' trousers seems to be the more common term.
