OK, in that case, something like
the series of factors affecting/determining the status of individuals, the market position of companies and the competitive standing/competitiveness of whole economies.
Each company only has one market position, though these positions naturally differ.

I think position would be better here than positioning, as I had suggested earlier. Positioning is used more for marketing and has a slightly different meaning than the one used here.
