In horticulture they typically say "sun" - not "sunshine." "Light" is short for "sunlight," so and "light" and "sun" are the same thing.

: I think a botanist would disagree - light and sun are not the same thing (maybe something to do with photosynthesis and/or Heliotropism...). I'm not a botanist, so'll I'll be 'neutral' :)

I've been studying horticulture at 2 colleges for the last 3 years, and I've never heard a distinction between light and sun. They do talk about "light" coming through the branches of a pruned shrub, but this is not the case.

some plants, like orchids and epiphytes need exposure to good light and some sun (indirect sunlight) - many of those can't handle direct sunlight - so "high light" (is another way to say that) - hope this is helpful, good luck on your translation
