relationship management is a red herring here 'Entry into a business relationship' is not an approach but a fact or event that triggers various customer due diligence and disclosure requirements on the bank's part. Go with 'business relationship' (unless you are averse to the -ship part like The Economist).

I think you're right. As soon as you talk of a business relationship, it sounds like you're a business rather than an individual. In a way it sounds like this bank is trying to turn the "demande d'ouverture de compte" into something that sounds more lasting, professional etc.
