I would use sand trap chamber or sand trap manhole to translate "arqueta arenera" (arenera means it is designed to act as a trap for the sand that the drainage water transports)

sand sump
an "arqueta de paso" is called a "sump" (see 2nd ref.), which of course is an area / recepticle to collect excess water/chemical waste/blood in a slaughter house....etc.; and in this case it is based on sand to aid filteration. Whether or not it is necessary to call it a "SAND sump" or not, I don't know...but I think that it is of course better to clarify.
