German term

hohe Frequenz fahren

German to English Bus/Financial Performance Figures and Metrics

More performance/metrics stuff. The word "Zielärzte" is being used because the sales reps are selling pharmaceutical products (though I don't know exactly what).

I can't make head or tail of "hohe Frequenz fahren". The whole last sentence of the above paragraph is pretty dreadful, but I think I can decipher pretty much everything except this "hohe Frequenz fahren". TIA for any light you can shed on it.

make very frequent rounds

i.e. let himself be seen a lot... Salesmanship is about persistence, after all.

I think to do justice to the contrast of [1] hitting a few customers on a very regular basis for a more certain ratio of visit to sale vs. [2] broader coverage to include potential customers who are not such hot prospects, it comes down to actual frequency, thus less idiomatic than, say, going full throttle. The poor salesperson is expected to do that in any event and make magic.

agree Johanna Timm, PhD : Yes: He is expected to expand his customer base and at the same time make frequent visits to serve existing clients

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Both answers seemed pretty good to me, but I think I'll go with Maureen's "make very frequent rounds". Thank you both though, and thanks to the peer graders also (especially Johanna) for clarifying the meaning of "hohe Frequenz fahren". Appreciate all your help."
