Hi,
just wanted to check if anyone has an alternative for "head sales company" for the German word "Kopfvertriebsgesellschaft"?
Context: Intl. holding with subsidiaries in several countries - they have local "Vertriebsgesellschaften" but the "Kopfvertriebsgesellschaft" of the group is located in Germany and always referred to in a contract.
Sample: "Die Kopfvertriebsgesellschaft hält ein Teil des globalen Kundenstamms insofern von ihr auch das intl. Marketing durchgeführt wird."

I often prefer 'marketing' over 'sales' for Vertrieb and I think from the example you've quoted that fits a bit better. 'Central' works well for obvious reasons - closer to the head office, etc.
Also in the context you describe, I fell 'organisation' works slightly better than 'company'.
