Term comes from academic text on Spanish commercial law. Section deals with the exclusion of liability of financial institutions via modifying clauses. Sentence below:

Tales cláusulas, en efecto, son admisibles -con las salvedades provenientes de la legislación sobre protección de los consumidores (arts. 82 sigs TRLGDCU)-, tanto con eficacia exoneratoria como limitativa de la responsabilidad, a menos que el incumplimiento del contrato sea doloso (art. 1102 Cc).
