Ethnicity under political parties:
The final three years show that ethnicity still remains a key stumbling block to harmonizing the relationship between the State and society. Hiding behind ethnic identity is a cabal of ethnic chauvinists who **invoke their ethnic group once under siege**.
Hence, ethnicity is considered an issue that politicians misuse for their own self-aggrandizement. Under the National Alliance regime, this was revealed with the Anglo-Leasing Scandal and other mega scandals that undermine the regime. Figure 2 shows expert opinion on the phenomenon of ethnicity in the political engineering of the country.
