Discussion

Gwidon Naskrent Dec 10, 2014:
A jednak chodzi o bank Cytowany fragment pochodzi z książki J. F. Snella Customs of Old England, rozdział 7, zatytułowany "Alms and Loans".

We should rather turn our eyes to the beatific vision of the Mons Pietatis as pictured by Botticelli—a hillock of florins, with the kneeling forms of worthy suppliants and the cloud-borne founder crowned by angelic hands.

Mount of Piety istnieje. Można podać 2 wersje (np angielska w nawiasie).

I would prefer Latin (used in an English text)

A mount of piety was an institutional pawnbroker run as a charity in Europe from the later Middle Ages times to the 20th century, more often referred to by the relevant local term, such as monte di pietà (Italian), mont de piété (French) or monte de piedad (Spanish). Similar institutions were established in the colonies of Catholic countries; the Mexican Nacional Monte de Piedad is still in operation.

Rodzaj banku udzielającego pożyczek bez procentu dla ubogich, powstałego w XV wieku we Włoszech. Nie wiem nic o związkach z Gołgotą. Podaj kontekst jeśli masz wątpliwości.
