Is there a set legalese phrase that could be used here? I was thinking it might be something along the lines of 'when presented as supporting documentation' ?

El timbrado de ley = statutory stamp, but perhaps "stamp duty" would be more meaningful in English.

While not a part of the question you specifically asked, but part of the paragraph you are apparently working with, the second sentence which I mentioned above in my first posting, makes no sense.
