Spanish term
descontarse
Spanish to English
Law/Patents
Law: Contract(s)
Sale of Goods Agreement
Hello
Not sure how best to translate "descontarse" in the following context:
Is it simply "discount"?
Thanks
Mark

write off
If it's giving them back to the supplier, it has to write them off in its books. You could say "write off its remaining stocks".

be discounted
If the manufacturer or distributor decides to no longer provide the Product, then the value can be discounted by XXX; the provider then has to claim it within 15 days, or else XXX can do what they want with it.

XXX shall not be required to pay for the remaining Product
While in essence it does mean "discounted", the English is a little more complicated because what the text is saying is that XXX can have the amount of the remaining product discounted or deducted from its bill.
I'd probably rephrase it as above.
