Hola Liliana: yo también he visto varios casos con las dos palabras juntas, pero no forman una expresión. Se trata de dos verbos que pertenecen a dos oraciones distintas ("follow" es la última palabra de una oración y "allow" es la primera de la siguiente).
Te pongo dos ejemplos:
- "This step and the two that follow allow the cakes to cool to room temperature gently, preventing cracking" ("follow" es el verbo de la primera oración y "allow" el de la segunda).
