I am assuming here, as other respondents have, that the intent of the Spanish is an exhortation to elicit help.
In this connection, I would say that "contribute" is a weak verb that does not work here.
I think that "con recursos financieros" can be left out of the translations. First, translating this literally would read awkwardly in English. Secondly, the notion of soliciting financial contributions is surely mentioned elsewhere in the text (i.e., details of how persons can donate would have to be provided, no?).
My suggestion ironically mimics the structure of both a "help wanted" ad for employment and a "Wanted" poster for a criminal who is at large.
I also think that the wording "wanted to help children fight cancer" is a good deal more engaging, urgent, and compelling than language that would simply "call for donations."

I would think a colon would be in order:

Literally "to contribute", or implicit, "you are invited to contribute..."
As Phil notes in the discussion, a bit of context would be helpful.
But I cannot fathom what else this could be...

Buen en realidad hago la consulta puesto que mas que una oración en tiempo futuro pareciera como una invitación, por ello el "are invited to"; no obstante no estoy muy segura si mi traducción sea correcta.
