the diptote that is change restricted due to one or two causes

Arabic nouns are nouns are usually called triptotes since they can be inflected for three possible case endings, which are nominative (رفع), accusative(نصب), and genitive (جر). Here, the singular noun in the genitive case will take a كسرة as its case ending. In الممنوع من الصرف words (diptotes/change restricted nouns), the genitive case is not expressed through a كسرة like it usually is. Rather, both the accusative and genitive cases end with a فتحة, so they are called diptotes.
