Glossary entry (derived from question below)
English term or phrase:
cool touch handle
French translation:
poignée (tactile) froide
English term
cool touch handle
I see 'poignée froide' and 'poignée isolée'.... any ideas, confirmation about either one?

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

C'est du marketing (nuance) c'est très vendeur de mettre un concept en anglais, la preuve... Je n'ai jamais dit que j'étais d'accord, mais le but reste de vendre davantage...

I am old enough to remember when you had to use a cloth to protect your hand when picking up a hot kettle. As someone mentioned above, a kettle with a handle that got hot in use would now be thought rather useless, though some handles might get a bit warm in use. However, "cool-touch handle" has the wonderful marketing advantage of making something that should, nowadays, be standard sound special. On the other hand, the body of a kettle can be cool-touch, but most aren't. So, in that case, it's not just marketing hype.

I think the expression "fraîche au toucher" captures the marketing aspect of making it sound special and desirable. It also has a good rhythm.

: Il y a mieux (poignée tactile froide) ; en outre, "fraîche au toucher" fait plutôt penser à une poignée de main.

Over 57K Google hits for ""fraîche au toucher" casserole OR bouilloire OR poêle OR poignée", but it might be FR-CA. I note that Le Creuset's Canadian website uses the term "poignée fraîche au toucher". Your Amazon link is a translation from German.
