My beloved, honey, sweetheart, baby, etc.

HABEEBI literally means my beloved, and is used in the same sense as "sweetheart," "honey," "sweetie," or, if you like rock lyrics, "baby." If addressed to a female, you would say HABEEBATI.

HABEEBI and HABEEBATI are not necessarily romantic expressions. You can use them to address parents, children, siblings and, in some regions, close friends. In Islamic mystical writings, HABEEBI is commonly used when addressing God.

ANA BAHIBBAK is the modern Egyptian vernacular version of ANA UHIBBUK, which literally means, "I love you." If addressed to a female, you would say ANA BAHIBBIK.

My darling

Addressing a male.

Your text (Anabahebak [YA] Habibi) would be: "I love you my darling".

I love you, my love

The letter 'b' is a little less than standard. This is being said to a male. 'Habibti' would be the female equivalent. There are some cultures, especially in the Persian Gulf, where a 'habibi' can also refer to a boy who is the object of a man's affection, but that is probably not the case here.
