Term in this case comes from an Iberian Spanish text for an application designed for a food company, and there are a number of terms for methods of payment (giro, contado, etc.) One term is giving me trouble and it's "recibo", which here is not a receipt of payment but rather a method of payment defined in the following terms by the client:
"El recibo no sé bien cómo traducirlo: se genera la factura del cliente y, en el plazo acordado, el cliente debe pagarla completa haciendo él mismo una transferencia bancaria".
Any ideas as to what this method may be in English?

Here's the thing; an invoice is usually "factura", and "recibo" is usually receipt, but informally, a lot of people say "recibo" when they really mean an invoice.

It is an invoice of sorts, of course, but in Spain it is a term usually used in the case of utiities, which in English are normally refered to as bills rather than invoices.

Your quote from the client does not does contain the word "recibo" in context, only the client's statement that they don't know how to translate it, which doesn't help.
