English to Spanish Other Medical: Health Care
"One of the largest UK hospital trusts (United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust) started using digital patient letters and not only reduced their paper and administrative waste, but also saw their missed appointment rate reduced from 5.8 to 4.1% in just five months".

Rodrigo Rosales Sosa Dec 22, 2021:

consorcios hospitalarios

American Heritage Dictionary
5. An institution or organization directed by trustees: a charitable trust.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NHS_trust
An NHS trust is an organisational unit within the National Health Services of England and Wales, generally serving either a geographical area or a specialised function (such as an ambulance service).

... The trusts are not trusts in the legal sense but are in effect public sector corporations. Each trust is headed by a board consisting of executive and non-executive directors, and is chaired by a non-executive director.

fundaciones hospitalarias

Fundaciones hospitalarias o, en términos generales, administraciones o gerencias hospitalarias.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Rodrigo Rosales Sosa : Fundación has a different meaning in Spanish and is usually used in the economic, financial and commercial context, usually with charitable purposes, either with private or public funds.

An NHS trust is an organisational unit within the National Health Services of England and Wales, generally serving either a geographical area or a specialised function (such as an ambulance service). In any particular location there may be several trusts involved in the different aspects of providing healthcare to the local population. As of April 2020 there are altogether 217 trusts, and they employ around 800,000 of the NHS's 1.2 million staff. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NHS_trust

English term (edited): hospital trust

fideicomiso de atención primaria

Where the ST says 'hospital trust', it should more-properly say 'primary care trust', commonly abbreviated to PCT.
The usual Spanish translation is a literal translation of the correct English term: fideicomiso de atención primaria

Peer comment(s):

disagree Rodrigo Rosales Sosa : Fideicomiso is mostly exclusively used in economic texts in Spanish. Literal translations are not really reliable. There is no exact equivalent in Spanish. They actually deal with secondary health services.

Peer comment(s):

disagree Jennifer Levey : A 'trust' is not a hospital - it's an administrator of health services.//You refer to one of the few NHS Trusts that only operates 'hospitals' Many (perhaps most) also run clinics, out-patient care centres and a host of other primary care facilities

It certainly IS a hospital. In this case, a group of public and autonomous hospitals. Please, read my provided answer and the official website https://www.ulh.nhs.uk/about/trust/.
