When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: Classic. One of my clients insist on "remarks", hence my agree also with Andrew's suggestion.

Thanks. I just think that if there's an exact equivalent in English, there's no point hunting for synonyms.

In truth there are multiple options, depending on the specific context, unfortunately not qupted.

: no refs. or example sentences, but uninspired guesswork. // There was no EU pre-1850. I - having passed EEC/EU law exams, voted for the answer of Phil G. as one of the few who could be bothered to add a ref. // Well, it's still one up on you.

None that would satisfy you Adrian, as the word wasn't common currency before 1850.// a 20 year old ref is "up to date"? And I don't feel law qualifications are needed to translate "observaciones" as 'observations'.

: In very general terms this is not wrong, but it's not the term usually used by the ECJ, and that is vital context, and despite what you say the asker has given us the context

Very brooad unspecific context though; but in essence you're right, it all depends on context.

Objections
No sé si se aplica hasta el punto de adaptarlo como objeciones
Tal vez sean aclaraciones o comentarios sin más

AllegroTrans
: What makes you think these would all necessarily be objections? I find this too subjective and you have ignored vital context (i.e. the language used by the ECJ)

"No sé si se aplica hasta el punto de adaptarlo como objeciones" "Tal vez sean aclaraciones o comentarios sin más" very low confidence

In my opinion, it boils down to context in which text appears. If it is a forum where all member states are addressing the audience in a plenary session, then "remarks" would be appropriate. If it is a situation where a government is reacting to a decision concerning it or a general topic for open discussion among the member states, I think the work "comments" would fit. "Observations" may be used in internatioal diplomatic settings but is sounds stilted and more suited to the vocabulary of a scientist rather than a parliamentarian.

: In very general terms this is not wrong, but it's not the term generally used by the ECJ, and that is vital context here // it has nothing to do with parliamentary discourse - in this context it is specifically the language of the ECJ

We have a difference in perspective. As a former diplomat of the US Foreign Service assigned to our US Mission to the United Nations my views on the language of parliamentary discourse in international fora carries certain weight. Thank you all the same.
