I can't really unravel the Italian syntax as well as has been done in the discussion entries, but think this is what it means.
'But why the masculine and feminine mix?' -> opposizione is fem. & decreto ingiuntivo is masc. as is (pagamento ... del) titolo -> payment ... of the judgment (debt)... Quaere: whether predetto refers back to the titolo, so an application ('objection') has been entered to set aside the judgment debt itself (avverso?)....

se "che" è congiunzione causale (tipo "visto che..." come a volte in una lista di condizioni preliminari) allora si deve desumere dal contesto che non abbiamo
"avverso" here surely means "contro" (preposizione; latinismo arc. tuttora in uso nel linguaggio burocratico.)
