AFAIK, evidence is admissible. Court motions (USA + E&W) are (dis-)allowable aka (un-)entertainable and can or cannot be granted.
Procedencia: vailidity, merits, conformance to law, West -> *admisibilidad* is whether a claim can be *entertained* at all vs. procedencia, so whether it has *merit(s)* and can be granted.

: Isn't this about simple admissibility, i.e. a test to ensure that the petition is in correct form regardless of its final merits? My experience of working in the English County Courts was that this was largely a function of the court's admin. staff.
