constat d'audience de calendrier

français vers anglais Droit / Brevets Droit : contrat(s)
Case based on a clause in a contract which the plaintiff says should have given him an "earn-out".

The expression gets 2 ghits. This might be the more useful : https://www.dalloz.fr/documentation/Document?id=CA_PARIS_202...
Might be something like "court hearing to set a schedule" ...?

Discussion

Emmanuella Oct 15, 2023:

In fact this document
is "a written record of what was agreed at a court hearing to set a schedule"

Proposed translations

(agreed) note/record of listing hearing

Not trying to steal Daryo's thunder here (his ref entry seems spot on to me) but he did say he couldn't think of a suitable translation for "constat"

The word frequently comes up in bailiff lingo and means "report" or "findings"

Here (in Daryo's ref.), the parties are asked to sign a document recording the timetable for hearing. A similar practice in common in E&W and when I attended court hearings as an advocate I was often asked to prepare a "note" or a "draft" signed by both parties' advocates.

Written Confirmation of a Listed (AmE: Docketed / Scots: Enrolled)) Hearing

I can't see any constat in the asker's venerated weblink, but constat (report or formal record, Bridge) is a document, whether an Affidavit aka Statement of Truth, Record generally or American-type Deposition and it is wrong to gloss over it.

PS US AmE and Scots law alternatives are, as usual, included in the non-Anglocentric answer.
Example sentence:

In their infinite wisdom, in order to help propagate useful information, authors made this PDF non-machine-readable, so here is an image as copy-pasting the text is not possible.

You can see that this "Audience no 6" is a "listing hearing / audience de calendrier" and that the document established at the conclusion of the hearing is "un constat d'audience", where the calendar/timetable agreed at the listing hearing is formally noted.

As the whole hearing is "une audience de calendrier", this document is "un constat d'audience de calendrier".

Not sure what would be the best translation for "constat", otherwise I would've posted an answer.

IOW

possible parallel with:

At any time, you can apply for further directions to be given. In particular, if the timetable set by directions is drifting, applying promptly for directions to get things back on course is a good way of letting the judge know of your concerns.
