1. Create the Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) database that the building blocks will use.
◦ For Windows:
▪ Using the GUI:
1. Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
2. In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance.
3. Right-click on Databases, then click New Database.
4. In the New Database window, enter a database name in the Database name field.
5. Click OK.
6. Set the collation. Right-click on the database you just created and select Properties.
7. On the Database Properties window, select the Options page.
8. For the Collation field, select Latin1_General_100_CS_AS_SC from the drop-down menu.
9. Under Other options > Miscellaneous, set the following properties to TRUE:
◦ Allow Snapshot Isolation
◦ ***Is Read Committed Snapshot On***
10. Click OK.
