Peer comment(s):

agree Richard Benham : I have only ever heard them referred to as "fork-lift operators". "Braser" can either be to braze or to solder, so presumably "braseur" could also be a solderer, called a "wire(wo)man" last time I heard one referred to (1975).

agree Gayle Wallimann : Brazer is possible, especially for Canada. But I prefer forklift operator for "cariste" http://www.rbq.gouv.qc.ca/dirEntrepreneurs/dirFormulaires/di... .

fork-lift operator

for cariste
Peer comment(s):

agree Richard Benham : That's what I'd say, or (less US-ish) "fork-lift driver". Or "forklift" as one word. Just a feeling, I didn't check my dic.

welder and driller

i'm more sure of the first one than of the second
Peer comment(s):

neutral Richard Benham : I would have thought "braseur" would be someone who brazes or solders, rather than a welder. But French terminology for these procedures is confused and confusing.

disagree Tony M : I agre with Richard;s point about 'braseur', but am at a loss to know how you can make carist into driller?
