Arabic term (edited):
بيان رسمي - اعلان رسمي
Official Statement - the suitable term much depends on context
Ahalan wa sahalan...
Re the term "official Statement"
The suitable term much depends on the context and source.
An "official statement" can also be an official announcement or communique (issued by all parties upon conclusion of an event), and two frequently-used terms in Arabic media include:
بيان رسمي
أعلان رسمي
The earlier term suggested by that kind respondent might apply more closely to a statement released by a non-governmental office or a non-corporate source.
Hope this helps.
Khair, in shaa' Allah.
