Hi,
I think that the general meaning must be that in order to learn something one must do a lot of repetition.
However, in الدرس حرف والتکرار الف, I don't really understand the meaning of الدرس حرف - the English translation "the lesson is a letter" doesn't really make sense. Please explain.

It means though the lesson may be small, you still have to repeat it a thousand times.

Practice makes perfect.
You get the lesson just once, so you should practise it (repeat it as many times as you can) to learn.
"Practice makes perfect" means that the more you practice, the better you will become.
"Practice makes perfect" means that the more you practice, the better you will become.
