English term
the total 1 milliwatt power budget
English to Chinese
Tech/Engineering
IT (Information Technology)
Brain power
All of that processing draws a frugal 250 W of power, leaving 750 W of the total 1 milliwatt power budget for stimulating the nerves. The processing power is one-twentieth of that in today's cochlear implants.
250W+750W=1 milliwatt?
250W+750W=1 milliwatt?

It is a misprint
It should be 250uW and 750uW.
The publisher probably wanted to use the Greek letter micro but didn't have the font available, so simply left a space for it. Later when it went to print with the letter missing.
I'd be really worried if 750 Watts or 250 Watts were being generated in any part of my body. That could cause freak phenonmenons like spontaneous human combustion. ;-)
