regel van rechtsvordering

As far as I can make out, the Ordinary Cause Rules are the rules governing procedure in the Sheriff Court. In NL, the equivalent rules are set out in the "wetboek van burgerljke rechtsvordering".

-> "Titel 1 van Boek 2 van het Wetboek van burgerlijke rechtsvordering (Algemene regels)"
http://www.win.tue.nl/~aeb/jura/Burgerlijk_Recht/Burgerlijke...

-> "The function of the [Sheriff Court Rules] Council is to review the procedure and practice in civil proceedings in the Sheriff Court. [...] The rules [...] are designed to regulate and prescribe procedure and practice."
http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/sheriff/rulecouncil.htm

The texts (in various languages) of international treaties relating to civil matters also make interesting reading for this sort of translation. E.g. http://www.curia.eu.int/common/recdoc/convention/en/c-textes...

Good luck!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Chris, the Dutch word used for this is "Procesorde" and therefore "procesorderegels". Your answer is the equivalent of that. Willemina"
