English term
Edge enhancing fusion
English to French
Tech/Engineering
Computers: Software
X-Ray scanner
Malheureusement aucun contexte.
Il s'agit juste d'une énumération des caractéristiques d'un appareil de détection en 3D à rayons X.

fusion d'images pour accentuation des contours
I have come across this term 'fusion' in FR in a similar context (albeit photography rather than radiography!), but without more context, I can't be sure this is actually what they are talking about here.

I really don't know what Gilles is complaining about in his peer comment: in 2 questions concerning 'edge enhancement', I have suggested 'accentuation des contours', so I really don't see in what way this could be said to be contradictory? OK, the term might not be right; but at least I'm being consistent ;-)
It's important to grasp that in the source text, we are referring to two quite different techniques for 'edge enhancement'.

Well, I have to say I find that a bit odd, Arnold, since this is the one term where I am absolutely certain that a FR term does exist — and it's 'fusion'! One of my major customers is a world leader in digital image processing, and their texts, written in FR by technical experts, certainly use this term (and they're by no means alone in this!)

Note from asker:
Merci Tony ! Je ne suis pas convaincu qu'une traduction française existe. J'ai décidé, en accord avec le client, de laisser l'expression en Anglais. |
