Almond Oil: Is an effective moisturizer, meal is a wonderful exfoliator.
en fait, c'est "meal" que je cherche surtout
ce ne peut être de la farine, puisqu'on parle d'huile d'amande (douce ou pas)
et est-ce que moisturizer n'est pas le contraire de exfoliator?
l'item suivant : chamomile relieves dryness
et : lemongrass is a stimulating toner
c'est peut-être un typo?
une suggestion?

le son est excellent comme base de gommage
Je dirais gommage (et non exfoliant) au son.

Yes, it IS the kind of 'meal' related to flour --- like using porridge as a face-pack!
This kind of meal is not 'farine' as such, but it is the waste product of milling flour -- after you've taken out the fine white flour, middllings, and bran, this is the waste that used to be fed to the chickens; I have a special trough in my mill that used to be used to collect it, and farmers coming to collect their flour could help themselves to it.
I did know the proper French word for it, I'll try and find it again for you.... my friend is a miller!

Apparently, it is in fact 'son' --- do visit this website, where it tells you all about old milling:

I'm confused! OED very definitely gives 'meal' as "the edible part of ground corn etc.", yet I KNOW I have come across it in my lill research as being the INedible waste product.
Sophieanne may have a point though --- oatmeal (= porridge) is indeed used as an exfoliator; perhaps other grains can also be used, not just oats?

Discussion
almond oil : is an effective moisturizer...
camomile : relieves dryness
lemongrass : stimulating toner
BTW I agree with all your comments, but where does that "meal" come from? (and I don't mean dinner here ;0)
