head teller = caissier principal. I think it would be OK to not translate adopting, unless you think adopting tellers perform a different function to that of ordinary bank tellers.
I also find "adopted cash".
Adopting apparently means taking physical possession of the cash.
Incidentally, the text is frm a nigerian bank.
