In which case, it might mean something along the lines of:
"Was the correct charge returned, if required?"

Also, are these two terms directly related, or are they just isolated occurrences of the word 'charge'? If the latter, then what are the other questions surrounding the second instance?

I'm beginning to suspect that the second instance is in fact a typo for 'change' — that would then suddenly make sense:

"Correct change is returned, if required" — i.e. if there was any need to give change.

Yes, the second sentence is hard to understand. I dont' know where the hotel is located but I have found many typos in the source text.

@ Asker The context is not enough to be totally sure; I have to say I'm most puzzled by your second instance, where it is hard to see what would be a 'correct charge' and why it 'is returned' (not to mention by whom, to whom?)

However, I think there is another possible meaning here which you don't seem to have considered: when staying in a hotel, it is customary to 'charge' drinks, meals, and other services to your 'room', which will then all be paid for together at the end of your stay.

Now in terms of your first instance, this would make perfect sense — i.e. the items charged to the room are explained fully enough for the guest to be able to check if they are accurate.

But that doesn't really explain the second instance, and in particular, that seemignly odd use of the singular; I'm wondering if maybe this is non-native EN? Where is the hotel located?
