were's the problem ? I agree littlben ! That’s why, I believe, Kevin "rephrasing" seems quite perfect even if SJLD comment is extremely pertinent.

Relapse ... coming from early stages it does sound awkward doesn't it? I don't actually have a problem with the meaning, it is mainly about rephrasing it properly in French

patients with localised disease - early stages As the TNM classification indicates, they may have local extension (T1-4), and lymph node involvement (N0-2) but no metastases to be included in this group. Presumably this is their staging at diagnosis (hence the "coming from" which is really poor English for a scientific document).

IMO it is the patients that are coming from early stages, not the relapse.
