Je suppose qu'il s'agit d'un adjectif, mais je ne trouve rien de rien.

It could well mean of pasty or paste-like consistency (when the prostate is oedematous). It means that the prostate can be indented with the finger and the indentation remains. I would propose "pâteuse" as a translation but make a note that the word is not English. Any other interpretation would be a leap of faith IMO.

neutral SJLD : pâteuse yes - but there is nothing that suggests "légèrement résistante" in fact if it's pasty it's quite the contrary.
