can sbdy help me translate "substrate blanks" in "The system regularly performs substrate blanks to ensure that all components of the signal generating system are working correctly. Substrate blanking occurs automatically, normally every 24 hours, or after a system start. The system gives an alarm if the substrate blank is out of range. However it is advisable to periodically review the substrate blank for trends and take remedial action if required."
