Hi there,
This is a phrase from Disney's 'Snow white and the seven dwarfs'.
One of the dwarfs is asking Snow White if she can make 'dapple lumpkin'.
I assume this is some kind of malaprop of maybe 'apple dumplings' or something like that, but if anyone knows what the dwarf is looking for, that would be much appreciated!

: "Schneewittchen" war mein allererster Kinofilm, aber an dieses Zitat hätte ich mich nicht mehr erinnert - und bei youtube.com hätte ich schon gar nicht gesucht (eher in der Videothek...) %-) Super!

Indeed you are correct, it is supposedly a play on the docs speech impediment, the correct german translation is "Apfel im Schlafrock" or in some areas maybe "Apfelkrapfen".

: Ja, leckere Krapfelapfen! ;-) Scheint keine "offzielle" Übersetzung für dieses Wortspiel zu geben - alle geschriebenen Märchenversionen, die ich fand, fassen die Ansprüche der Zwerge zusammen. Wäre interessant, wie der Orig. Zeichentrick synchr. wurde.
