This is from a catalogue with gifts for doctors. Any idea what "Set for Life" means?

Funkuhr
I found some 'set for life' clockradios on google, but they weren't cheap!
It seems, that they set themselves. The German equivalent would be a 'Funkuhr' which is set by a radio signal.

Comment: "Danke! you would be surprised at the costs of these gift for doctors! I've just come across a clock with 52 diamonds (wonder what they do, to deserve that!)"

English term (edited):
set for life
werksseitig eingestellt
It really means that this watch is so cheap that it has no controls for setting. A positive phrase would be "werksseitig eingestellt" - factory-set.
