This would be my guess. In automotive applications, ECU is the electronic control unit. If they are using Bluetooth or some such RF network hardware, they could be buying the entire unit and having the manufacturer run the appropriate tests on the unit before delivery.
I would guess that it is the antenna performance that they are testing, but it might be the performance of the ECU with the antenna. Soooooo, this might get you farther.

In the German stuff I have done, they usually LEAVE it ECU, but that just be a two-letter German carmaker.
I would guess that it is the antenna performance that they are testing, but it might be the performance of the ECU with the antenna. Soooooo, this might get you farther.

unless you are faced with ECUs for the airbags, infotainment center, crash sensors, DSP ..... AND then there is the ONE for the engine, too.

Die Suche nach "ECU +Antenne" bei Google führt zu etwa 150 Ergebnissen, von denen einige auf Seiten mit Beschreibung von elektronischen Geräten führen. Dort wird ECU als Electronic Control Unit beschrieben, was natürlich besser passt, als Error Correction Unit.

Environmental Control Unit - Umweltkontrollsystem (yuck) oder Klimakontrollsystem, wobei das aber nicht mit abdeckt, dass unter Umständen auch Filtersystem in das ECU integriert sind - ist bei einer mobilen Radaranlage recht wahrscheinlich, besonders wenn die Elektronik in einem Shelter installiert ist.

Oh, ich lese gerade die Anmerkung Antenna ECU - in dem Falle fällt mein Favorit, Umweltkontrollsystem von meinem persönlichen Rang 1 auf Rang 2.
