To annunciator είναι μια ένδειξη σε οθόνη που μας πληροφορεί για την κατάσταση της συσκευής. Μπορεί να έχουμε annunciator, για την κατάσταση της μπαταρίας, για το αν έχουμε πατήσει το caps lock, για το αν το κομπιουτεράκι μας βγάζει τις γωνίες σε rad ή μοίρες, για το αν η συσκευή βρίσκεται σε κατάσταση προγραμματισμού κ.ο.κ.

But there are other modes you should know about too—and the HP 12C πlatinum tells you about these, too, with annunciators of their own.
First, keep an eye out for the low battery annunciator (∫). If you see this, you should change the battery as soon as possible.
Next, be aware of the arithmetic mode annunciators, RPN and ALG. You have a choice of two methods for doing arithmetic in the HP 12C Platinum, and if you try to do arithmetic assuming a different method than what the machine is set to, you won’t get correct results.

ANNUNCIATORS:
Your display will also make announcements, with something called an "annunciator.” Every time you hit the shift key, it announces
this by displaying a small horizontal arrow that curves up at its right end. Another example is when your battery is low, a small battery symbol will appear to tip you off.
