OK, so my problem in Hebrew is that it's not necessarilly a
יום נישואין,
and could also be
יום ההיכרות או יום האירוסין
The main problem in Hebrew is that יום השנה has morbid connotations (the first 60 results in Google are all about יום השנה למותו של/לאסון...
Can anyone come up with a good solution for this?
Usage: email software.
Thanks, Doron

If the software is of "young" nature, you can also say:
סיבה למסיבה OR יום לחגיגה OR just חגיגה.
I found that תחיגה (curious but very much a Hebrew word) means festival, which isn't a well known word and maybe isn't in context, but thought I'll bring it to your attention just for knowledge.

יום השנה
זה פשוט יום השנה ללא ציון של ארוע מיוחד זה או אחר המילה Anni מגיע מהמקור הלטיניAnnum שפירושו שנה. מכאן שמושג זה יכול ומציין כל אירוע שנתי מכל סוג שהוא.
ראה הסבר מויקיפדיה:
Annum is a Latin noun meaning year. It is the accusative singular of the second declension masculine noun annus (nominative), anni (genitive) [1].
