English term (edited): syntatic sugar

Adoçante. açucar sintético

Syntactic sugar is a term coined by Peter J. Landin for additions to the syntax of a computer language that do not affect its functionality but make it "sweeter" for humans to use.

Example sentence:

English term (edited): syntatic sugar

sintaxe doce de se escrever

Syntactic is NOT synthetic.

Does this make Groovy just a layer of syntactic sugar?

Syntatic has to do with syntax (writing the code). What the author is trying to say/ask is: Does this make Groovy just an easy to use/write programming language?

This isn't the best translation, but it gives you an idea on how to make it better. Hope it helps.
